WHAT IS A GROUP LEADER?

Group Leaders could be any Christian married couple that has a heart for marriage. Throughout the world they speak many different languages. Some of them have been married for many years and some for only a few. Some are young and some are older. Some have young families and some have grandchildren and even great grandchildren. They are a wonderful combination of personalities, gifts, and experience.
But they all have one thing in common… They love the Lord and they want to see marriages and families healed and strengthened by His Word and His power.
Church Community
Group Leaders don’t settle for good. They seek God’s very best. They know the potential of God’s marriage covenant and are determined to take that truth to couples everywhere. They don’t just teach, they live the principles they impart to others.
They don’t walk in perfection, but instead model the process of God working in their own marriage and family. Many of them have walked through their own marital challenges and so they don’t shrink back from difficult situations. They know the One who brings reconciliation and healing. They trust in Him and His power. They also know the challenge of the Holy Spirit to grow and mature as a couple. They encourage couples with strong marriages to seek God’s assignment for them and then help them to walk as a strong one-flesh team into His plan.

Before you teach a course of your own, we will also want confirmation from your leaders and your pastor that they are happy for you to lead your own course.
Thank you for your enquiry about 2=1 Leadership. We very much appreciate you wanting to help us reach the couples who want to improve their marriages or, in some cases, drag them back from the brink of divorce! This is a hard but rewarding job. Some people think that they couldn’t possibly do this, but you just need to have a passion for God, a passion for marriage, a transparency about you and your marriage, a teachable spirit… and some time to spare!
Please be assured that we want to help you be prepared to teach our courses and so we would like you to help teach a course as “Leaders in Training” before you teach a course of your own. The leaders of that group will help you as you work alongside them. We would also like to you to go through our Joshua Bible study, which shows how Joshua was trained by Moses and then encouraged to lead on his own.
